Scheduled Maintenance: January 30–February 1

CARC will be performing scheduled maintenance starting at 1:00 PM PST on Friday, January 30 and ending at 5:00 PM PST on Sunday, February 1.

During this time, compute nodes—including login and transfer nodes—and file systems will be unavailable, and you will not be able to run jobs on the clusters.

We will be working on:

  • File system maintenance
  • Removing /project from the clusters
  • Rebuilding the /scratch1 file system

Once this maintenance is completed, you will no longer have access to /project. Additionally, all data on /scratch1 will be wiped during the rebuild.

Transfer any data you do not wish to lose out of /scratch1 before the start of maintenance. For instructions on transferring data, please see our user guides.

If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to us at carc-support@usc.edu.
