Overview of AI at CARC

Last updated August 18, 2026

The Center for Advanced Research Computing (CARC) provides tools, services, and hardware that support AI and machine learning (ML) research workloads. This section provides a comprehensive list of CARC resources to meet your research needs.

Our newest service, Topanga AI Computing, is now available! Topanga is a paid service offering on-demand compute sessions, advanced GPU resource sharing, secure and isolated computing environments, and a pay-as-you-go model, giving researchers greater flexibility to access the computing resources they need, when they need them. For more information, please see the Topanga AI Computing user guides.
